What’s on at the Book Fair on Thursday 12th June?

More wonderful visitors – parents and whanau are very welcome. And please come along to the Parents and Friends Association Annual General Meeting with our literacy speaker, and dress-up, popcorn and DVD for the children!

9.30am Elizabeth Pulford

Elizabeth Pulford is an award-winning writer of children’s and adult books, based in Waikouaiti, who has created the amazing Lily series, as well as other wonderful children’s titles.

11.15am Ann Cronin

Ann Cronin is a University of Otago PhD student, neuropharmacologist and science communicator who will be using a Leonardo Da Vinci fold-out model to teach the children about the brain!

2pm Sheralyn Weepers

Sheralyn Weepers is a Resource Teacher of Maori in Otago, Nga Takawaenga Matauranga ki Otago, and will read her favourite Maori myth, followed by a korero

5.30pm Parents & Friends Association AGM, BYO Supper, Literacy expert

Joan Turner talking to parents. Children – please dress up as your favourite book character, and enjoy a DVD and popcorn after supper. Then – cake! A wonderful selection of Scholastic books will be on sale, with a percentage of sales coming back to the school in the form of books for our own library. Please support the school by purchasing some books!

Monday to Friday 2.30-3.45pm, Thursday 2.30 to 5.30pm and during PFA AGM.
