Greetings and Welcome Back to Term 4 at Sacred Heart

Kia ora te Whanau

I hope you have enjoyed the term break. We are looking forward to seeing you all this week as our busy term 4 begins and we move towards Advent and the Festive Season. The diary of the term’s events is being updated and will be available shortly. In the meantime I would like to update you on some happenings over the next few days and throughout the term. A full newsletter will be issued early in week 2.

Each new week begins with Combined Class Prayer and reflection in the library at 9am. All community members are welcome.

Ronald McDonald will be visiting on Tuesday at 10am with some important Road Safety messages.

School Photos will be taken on Wednesday morning with Kelk Photography. Family group photos will be taken first from 9am. Please ensure that the children are in correct school uniform. A reminder also that black shoes/sandals are the only permissible footwear at school.

A nation-wide Civil Defence Shakeout will take place at 9:15am on Thursday morning. This will consist of an earthquake drill in accordance with our school emergency procedure.

I will be away on Friday at the NZEI Principals Council meeting in Wellington representing the Catholic Primary Schools Sector.

Our first Earlybirds session is on next Monday 19th at 1:30pm. If you know of anyone with a 4 year old pre-schooler please invite them to come along and join us for a Sacred Heart experience.

Important Dates to note:

  • Swimming (10 days) runs from Monday 16th to Friday 27th November
