Last year’s garage sale was a great success, not only in terms of raising funds, but also in terms of bringing our community together in the new year and showcasing our wonderful school. We are very keen to repeat this in the New Year and so ask you to mark your calendar now for Saturday 13th February 2016 and put aside any of those unwanted goods as you have a clean-up over the summer break. The success of last year’s event relied on every family getting behind the garage sale and contributing in some way. Our small community really depends on this to happen. We have a number of stalls that we will need assistance with (below) but we are really open to new ideas so feel free to get on board, make your ideas happen and run your stall on the day.More info to follow but if you are happy to help on any of the following or have a new idea of your own then please respond to the Office.Confirmed stalls:Garage SaleBooksToysBakingBoutique ClothingSausage SizzleBouncy CastleSand-pit DigGirl themed stall – Face painting, nails, hair etcBoy themed stall – Nerf, Pinball, etcThankyou!
Opoho Play Centre Visit / SPCA Visit Climate Change Concert on Sunday
We had a great visit at Opoho Play Centre today (Friday) where the children gave another stunning performance.
We also visited the Otago SPCA and on stopped for a few minutes on the way for a spontaneous performance in the Botanical Gardens as several tourists and gardeners looked on. So much fun on a beautiful sunny day.
We are now looking forward to the Climate Change Concert at St Paul’s Cathedral on Sunday evening. Just a reminder to wear correct school uniform and that we are meeting at the Cathedral steps at around 6:30pm.
Starts next Thursday evening (15th October) in Nga Maara Hall.
